Step One: PRAY
This may seem extremely basic but it is absolutely something we must do in a time like this. James 5 tells us “If anyone is suffering, let him pray….” Our brothers and sisters in Texas are certainly suffering now. Please continue to pray for those directly impacted who have lost loved ones, homes, and possessions. Pray for the First Responders who continue to work on the ground and for all those still working tirelessly to help.
Step Two: DONATE
We will be collecting supplies for some very specific needs. A representative of Matthew 25: Ministries shared that this is what they are in need of right now:
First Aid Items: Bandages, gauze, pads, first aid tape, antiseptic creams, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, latex gloves, instant cold packs etc.
Cleaning Supplies: Laundry detergents, general cleaner, sponges, bleach (powdered form is preferred), mops, scrub brushes, buckets, rubber gloves etc.
Personal Care Products: Antibacterial soap, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, body wash, deodorant, lotion etc.
We will have bins in the lobby at Entrance B where you can put your donated items. We will continue collecting these supplies through Sept 17th and then transport them to Matthew 25: Ministries.
Matthew 25: Ministries is also in need of folks to come in and help sort the donations they are getting.
For those interested in making a monetary donation, we suggest donating to International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES) through their website.
