Clovernook | Missions

Missions is more than just living in primitive huts on faraway continents. It’s more than slideshows and souvenirs. More than tribal dances and grass skirts. Missions is laying aside cultural assumptions and the familiarity of interacting with people of similar backgrounds. Missions is daring to love people who aren’t like you and being willing to give everything up in order to do that.

Missions is essentially what Jesus came to do–to give the good news to the lost. In our desire to be like Jesus, the people of LifeSpring invest ourselves in various aspects of missions as we:

  • GO to other cultures to share Jesus.
  • SEND missionaries by helping to train and prepare them.
  • SUPPORT missionaries with prayer, finances, and encouragement.
  • WELCOME international people who have moved to the Cincinnati area.

On a global scale, we look for opportunities to serve people who have never heard about Jesus. We are involved in these types of ministries in Eastern Europe, South America, and Africa. And because we place great value in training nationals to teach their own people about Christ, we support training programs in the Philippines, India, Zimbabwe and Eastern Europe.

Throughout the year we host special events to help our members understand the work going on around the world. We provide opportunities to go on mission trips. We realize that an investment in missions is an investment in eternity.

CCU is one of the colleges supported by LifeSpring Christian Church.
